Everyone knows the saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and equally I would contend that art is the same. Fine art is especially tricky because…well…it’s fine. It’s meant to go beyond art and to me that just means it has to be one of a kind. It has to be distinct, unmatched, and should evoke something out of the viewer. That emotion doesn’t necessarily need to be a positive one though. Fine art portrait photography can just as easily bring out feelings of hate, vulnerability, and sorrow.
