I never thought I’d be changing women’s lives and although I had a passion for photography it was mainly in nature, landscape, and personal travel. Little did I know that my love for photography and my understanding of women would lead me to where I am today.

Their children just spent years working their butts off in school and when they see the results of those ubiquitous photos their children don’t even want them!
Alright, so misnomer…I’m not sating portraits with you sitting are bad…I just mean the traditional ones where you give a fake smile to the camera are. Like the ones of your parents or grandparents hung on their walls from back in the day. You won’t see many portrait photographs of women in the rain so I wanted to share some Spring photoshoot inspiration with you. I am a firm believer that you can create fascinating images. You just have to be willing to be photographed at the “worst” of times.
It’s actually really easy to see what makes a portrait photographer stand out; the thing that is so important, but often overlooked. Photography can be quite a difficult profession and business to master. One of the reasons is that getting past all the noise the the bazillion photographers out there can be incredibly frustrating. A lot of photographers in the Greater Toronto Area, including myself have realized that looking at our art more as a business is the only way we can continue doing and growing our skills. One issue, however, is that some portrait photographers either can’t master this specific skill or choose to forgo it. So what is it?!
