Portrait photography isn’t something women are typically looking for. On the other hand, there are always lots of occasions where women will search for great engagement, wedding, newborn, and family photographers (usually in that order). Some women know that they want to celebrate themselves and a special occasion for a session is never necessary. Want to know the benefits these women see in having their photo taken by a professional photographer? You’ll be able to decide whether artistic portrait photography is something you may have been missing out on! You may even surprise yourself!

We’re always trying to push the envelope of art photography for modern women by experimenting with different looks. Chantal was a great sport and trusted us to create these cinematic, wall-worthy images for her. Now we’re able to confidently create this sort of photography for all the other “everyday” women in the GTA.
If you’ve been with or known someone long enough then you’ve surely had times when you didn’t know what to give them for her birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s Day, graduation, or other achievement/special occasion. She probably doesn’t need you to buy another charm on her bracelet either. If you want to give her a gift that goes beyond the longevity of jewellery and the meaningfulness of a handmade trinket, then give her an experience that will show her how beautiful she is!
Here at Made by Ten we like to do a little bit of everything. It keeps us on our heels and although we have a distinct style, we aren’t afraid to veer from it to make great images. If you take a look at our inspiration examples in “Women in Art” dropdown you’ll see we have “Modern Portrait”, “Modern Glamour”, and “Modern Boudoir”. While we consider all of our work “modern”, these stand out the most as a departure from “traditional” or what we like to call…”old”. Are these “modern” versions right for you? P.S. It makes a special Valentine’s Day gift!
It may sound crazy, but I have the same insecurities as most of the women that get in front of my camera. I recently spoke to a client who asked, “Have you ever been in front of the camera.” I’ve always believed that empathy is the key to photographing people. So what are you afraid of when you’re in front of a camera?
If you had ever visited our Made by Ten website prior to last week then you’ve probably seen some big changes. However, we’re still not done yet. Help make this a great website for all women by scrolling-on-down and telling us what you really think!
