If you’re looking to get more use out of that beautiful dress you bought, then look no further! Whenever there’s a special occasion or party my wife goes out to buy a dress. When I ask about all the other dresses she tells me that (a) she doesn’t have a dress that looks like the one that she needs and/or (b) she’ll make it worthwhile because she’ll use it over again. Most women probably do use the dresses they spend a ton on more than once. Whether you do or not, this is how you can get even more out of them.

WHY YOU BOUGHT THE DRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE
You bought that dress for a reason. Either you needed something to suit a particular occasion. Maybe you needed a sparkly dress for a New Year’s Eve party, a body-con for a bachelorette party, or a gorgeous, flowy dress for a fancy dinner party at the AGO.
Whatever the reason, you may have bought something that fit the need of the event so perfectly that it’s hard to see when you’d ever wear it again (except for that same event). You could always wear it for the annual party the next year, but let’s be honest, you probably won’t.
WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE DRESS NOW
Dresses should make you look and feel great and that makes them perfect for a photoshoot. If you’re shocked by this advice read the title again: “Photoshoot Inspiration:…” :)
Jokes aside, dresses are great for photos not only because they instill confidence, but because they are dynamic, flattering, flirty, and a lot of fun for me to shoot. With a big, flowy dress we can create dynamic images by capturing movement. With a well-fitted body-con dress we can accentuate the curves of your body. If you have a timeless little black dress we can create very magazine, editorial type shots.
Warning: after a photoshoot in one of your dresses you’ll probably become addicted. In fact, we created a special “annual favourite outfit of the year portrait photoshoot” offer, but you need to become a member.
Just like your dress, photography should be more than just looks. It should also be about the experience – from buying it to wearing it. If you want a full photoshoot experience with Made by Ten to create timeless images of you in that dress (because we all get older), then book a photoshoot now! Come to us to get more use out of that beautiful dress you just bought!
