We’re always trying to push the envelope of art photography for modern women by experimenting with different looks. Chantal was a great sport and trusted us to create these cinematic, wall-worthy images for her. Now we’re able to confidently create this sort of photography for all the other “everyday” women in the GTA.

If you’ve been with or known someone long enough then you’ve surely had times when you didn’t know what to give them for her birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s Day, graduation, or other achievement/special occasion. She probably doesn’t need you to buy another charm on her bracelet either. If you want to give her a gift that goes beyond the longevity of jewellery and the meaningfulness of a handmade trinket, then give her an experience that will show her how beautiful she is!
This is one of my favourite pieces I created while in New York City. Sometimes the greatest images are born out of chance and sometimes it also just depends on interpretation. Read on to learn what I was looking for, but what I really captured instead. The message I found in this image is profound.
Here at Made by Ten we like to do a little bit of everything. It keeps us on our heels and although we have a distinct style, we aren’t afraid to veer from it to make great images. If you take a look at our inspiration examples in “Women in Art” dropdown you’ll see we have “Modern Portrait”, “Modern Glamour”, and “Modern Boudoir”. While we consider all of our work “modern”, these stand out the most as a departure from “traditional” or what we like to call…”old”. Are these “modern” versions right for you? P.S. It makes a special Valentine’s Day gift!
It’s understandable that the average woman would think she was incapable of pulling off beautiful, sexy, sensual, elegant, or model-like looks (let alone in front of a camera). You see those beautiful models and celebrities on TV and in magazines and think you could never look good in front of a camera. You may not have been born with the same symmetry or physical features, but I would humbly have to disagree. I believe anyone can look gorgeous. Sometimes you just need someone else’s eyes (and camera) to help show you.
Can you guess which of these photos is of a new model, experienced model, or non-model (client)? I bet you won’t get it! [Read on to check if you were right.]
It may sound crazy, but I have the same insecurities as most of the women that get in front of my camera. I recently spoke to a client who asked, “Have you ever been in front of the camera.” I’ve always believed that empathy is the key to photographing people. So what are you afraid of when you’re in front of a camera?
More isn’t always better and this holds true for the number of photographers you need at your wedding. If you’re wondering whether or not you need a second photographer, commonly called a second shooter, at your wedding, I’m hear to give you the answer! You may not like it…
There were quite a few fashion design graduates and their works were incredibly diverse. Check out some of these great, up-and-coming designs by Antonella, Ashley Kasdorf, and Hailey Lee.
