Finding the best photographer in the Greater Toronto Area for you will likely be as hard as finding the person you’re soon to be married to. When it comes down to it there is one factor that is so very important, but can be quite hard to pinpoint. It isn’t their style, price, or packages. So what exactly should you be so concerned about you ask?
TORONTO IS A BIG POOL
There are currently 399 wedding photographers listed on WeddingWire.ca in Toronto and that doesn’t even include the ones in Mississauga, Brampton, and Milton. This is typically where most couples will start their search. Sometimes it ends there, while other times couples will make there way over to Google and try their luck with something more specific like “fine-art wedding photography”, for example.
The style with which a photographer shoots and their prices and packages are certainly important. I mean…you have to be able to afford them and you have to like how your images will turn out. WeddingWire is really good in the sense that they allow for reviews and rating. Google business pages also allows for this.
TRUST
Ratings? Reviews? Why so serious? …Because the most important factor is trust!
Now you may be thinking you don’t need to become life partners with your photographer you just need them to photograph your wedding! While that’s true, trust is the basis on which you decide to spend your money, whether consciously or subconsciously.
You need to trust that they:
- understand what photos are important to you
- are capable of creating the results that you expect from them
- deliver everything to you after the wedding within the time agreed on
Have you heard horror stories from friends who’ve told you:
- their photographer didn’t capture a specific moment
- they never received their photos
- they can’t get in contact with their photographer (!!!)
